Role Summary
A structured, full-time 6-month paid internship supporting the Finance & Accounting function at a premium medical device distributor. This is not passive data entry. You'll work with real financial documents, accounting records, reconciliations, and operational transactions while learning how finance supports a fast-growing healthcare business. Strong performers may convert to a full-time Finance & Accounting role.
- Duration: 6 months, full-time, on-site (South Jakarta). Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9.30am to 5.30pm.
- Key Responsibilities
- Assist with daily accounting and bookkeeping activities.
- Assist with bank reconciliation and account reconciliations.
- Support Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable administration.
- Prepare journal entries under supervision.
- Maintain organized digital and physical financial records.
- Assist with tax and compliance documentation.
- Support month-end closing activities.
- Assist in preparing financial reports and schedules.
- Flag discrepancies early, unmatched items, missing documents, aging balances, with a proposed next step, not just a report.
Requirements
- University student (penultimate/final year) or fresh graduate, available full-time for 6 months, on-site in South Jakarta.
- Strong attention to detail and genuine pride in accuracy.
- Solid grounding in accounting fundamentals: double entry, accruals, and the three statements.
- Comfortable in Excel and Google Sheets, including SUMIFS, VLOOKUP or XLOOKUP, and Pivot Tables.
- Professional working English, written and spoken (the company operates in English for documents and communication); strong Bahasa Indonesia.
- Organized, responsive, and reliable with routine work.
- Willing to learn and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Preferred Qualifications
- Internship experience in accounting or finance.
- Familiarity with accounting software or ERP systems.
- Basic understanding of Indonesian taxation.
- Experience using Microsoft Excel functions (Pivot Table, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP is a plus).
