About the role
- We are seeking an experienced
- HR Supervisor
- to join our team in Medan, North Sumatra on a
- full-time basis
. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting the Human Resources function and ensuring the smooth operation of HR activities across our organisation. You will report to the HR Manager and work closely with various departments to provide HR support, maintain compliance with employment regulations, and contribute to a positive workplace environment. This position is essential in bridging communication between management and staff whilst ensuring HR policies and procedures are consistently applied.
Key responsibilities
Assist with the recruitment and onboarding process, including job postings, candidate screening, interview coordination, and new employee orientation
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, personnel files, and HR documentation in compliance with Indonesian labour laws
- Support the administration of payroll, benefits, and leave management systems
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, and employment-related matters
- Assist with the implementation and communication of company HR policies and procedures
- Coordinate training and development programmes for staff
- Support disciplinary and grievance procedures in accordance with company policy and legal requirements
- Monitor workplace compliance and ensure adherence to labour regulations and occupational health and safety standards
- Assist with employee engagement initiatives and company events
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive HR information with professionalism and discretion
- Prepare HR reports and maintain relevant statistics for management review
What we're looking for
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in an HR role, preferably in a supervisory capacity
- Strong knowledge of Indonesian labour laws and employment regulations
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
- Proficient in HR systems and Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal in Indonesian and English
- Ability to work collaboratively with staff at all levels whilst maintaining professional boundaries
- Discretion and trustworthiness in handling confidential information
- Problem-solving ability and a customer-service focused approach to employee relations
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate records
- Preferred: Experience with payroll administration, benefits management, and recruitment in a manufacturing or consumer goods environment
